Jan Mulders - Kunstmaker

This is a 50 x 70 cm acrylics on canvas painting, inspired by an old black and white photograph of my maternal grandfather Janus Jongenelis. He is depicted sitting on his grocers' wagon. The picture was taken in 1920.

 

The original picture was in black and white. The colors in the painting are an attempt to approximate the colors of the era.
