As was indicated in the article about the single use mold method, it is possible to get more castings from a mold, provided some simple precautions are taken. Here are photographs of the way such a mold is made, and the end result.
I use a silicon mold to make multiple casts of a fired clay original.

Creation of the mold:Â Â Â Â To prevent the source sculpture from sticking to the silicone it is covered with vaseline. This is also done with the silicone layer to prevent sticking to the Plaster of Paris support.
