I use a silicon mold to make multiple casts of a fired clay original.

 

 

 

 

Creation of the mold:     To prevent the source sculpture from sticking to the silicone it is covered with vaseline. This is also done with the silicone layer to prevent sticking to the Plaster of Paris support.
